Jane’s Walks<\/a> Festival returns to Tel Aviv for the fifth time!<\/p>\n

Jane Jacobs (1916-2006) was an urbanist and activist whose writings championed a fresh, community-based approach to city building.<\/p>\n

The festival calls to create cities that are planned with and for people, promoting art and urban literacy and develop streets suitable for walking. The procedure for residents and resident leaders from diverse fields and positions: artists, architects, activists, urban planners, intellectuals, scholars, people who love the city. Religious and secular, young and old, locals and tourists.<\/p>\n

The walks offers opportunities to a new perspectives on urban space and city life experiences through a joint operation in which they occur ,sharing walk knowledge and open discussion. Along the way, the participants are invited to take part in original and creative reading and have fun together and discover the city in her magical way.<\/p>\n

Here is a part of the line up for tomorrow, may 2, Saturday:
\n12:00 pm<\/strong> – South Tel Aviv
\n2:00 pm<\/strong> – \u00a0Tour to the new central station transport complex of
\nTel Aviv.
\n3:30 pm<\/strong> – Kiryat Hamelacha industrial complex \u00a0– \u00a0a view on the Architecture ,textures and street art in the area.
\n4:30 pm<\/strong> – Jaffa port
\n5:00 pm<\/strong> – The magic and history of Neve Tzedek.<\/p>\n

The participation is free and you need to register in advance – just choose where you want to go.<\/p>\n
