If you’re craving delicious Indian food, you should probably check out Indira on 4 Shaul HaMelech St. (שאול המלך), not too far from Tel Aviv Museum. It has plenty of great dishes from various regions of India, and it’s really tourist friendly. It is recommended to book a table in advance (03-5686802).
24 Rupee on 16 Shocken St. (שוקן) is another great option. Started by Israelis who got to spend some years wandering around the subcontinent, it’s a lot more chilled back than most restaurants you’re used to, with mattresses and cushions in place of chairs, extremely friendly waiters and relatively low prices. The food there is all vegetarian with plenty of vegan options.
>> As much as we all love hummus, Tel Aviv has a lot more than that to offer in terms of food and drinks – that’s what we are here for. >> Feel free to ask us more specific questions via the Ask a Local app.
