Apart from ringing up the restaurant and making a reservation the good ol’ way, you can use the “2eat” app, available in Hebrew and English. You can get to pretty much all restaurants in the city through it.
A couple of tips: Thursday and Friday nights are usually packed full in most places, so try and reserve a place as early as you can for those nights. Friday and Saturday at around lunchtime are also quite busy.
The restaurant you want is full? Try making a reservation for Sunday, Monday or Wednesday – these are usually the weaker nights in most places.
Don’t be too early, as you’ll just have to wait, but make sure you get to the restaurant within 30 minutes of the time of your reservation, otherwise the restaurant might give your table to somebody else.
