What is arak?

Arak (ערק) is the undoubted king of Israeli spirits. It’s a sambuca-like aniseed drink with normally around 40-50% alcohol, best served on the rocks.

It also goes well with orange or grapefruit juice, and you can find it at just about any pub or bar in Tel Aviv.

Enjoy!
