What’s the cheapest way to get from the airport to Tel Aviv on a Saturday?

If you land late enough on Saturday, trains and buses start at around 8pm. If you land during the day though, you will probably have to go for a taxi.

There are shared taxis sometimes referred to as “sherut” going from the taxi rank just outside Terminal 3 to the Central Bus Station (and also to Jerusalem). These are substantially cheaper than private taxis, and from the Central Bus Station you can take a taxi, a “sherut” or walk to your final destination.

If you’d rather take a taxi, it should cost around 150-170 shekels on a Saturday (rates go up on Saturdays, so it is somewhat cheaper on a weekday). I’d suggest you find someone at the airport to share a taxi with, which would obviously make it much cheaper for you. Have a safe journey!
