HaNasich Hakatan (הנסיך הקטן, literally “the Little Prince”) on 19 King George St. (קינג ג’ורג’) is a great place for second-hand books, with a large section in English. You can also get a cup of coffee if you’re getting tired of book-hunting, and you can even find there some bits of Tel Aviv’s history in the form of vintage signs, posters and leaflets.

Dostoevsky on 88 Allenby St. (אלנבי) might not seem like a normal book store at first – and perhaps it’s because it sort of isn’t. Once you go in, you can be sure to find plenty of second-hand books in various languages, waiting to be picked up.

For books in French, check out Librarie du Foyer on Masaryk Square (כיכר מסריק), right by Rabin Square (כיכר רבין), Allenby St. (אלנבי) can get you to great Spanish and Russian book stores, and finally – the Yung Yiddish museum and library at the Central Bus Station’s 5th floor is a real treat.

>> Tel Aviv is known for its vibrant night life – but in no way does it end there. With dozens of art galleries, concerts, theatre, dance and opera shows, and countless other activities, you can be sure to find just what you are looking for. >> Feel free to ask us more specific questions via the Ask a Local app.
