In 6 years (estimated year 2021), there will be a new light rail train (NTA) joining the public transportation in Israel. The light train will serve as an engine for economic, social, and urban growth and Contribute to a Fast, Smooth, and Continuous Transit especially for Tel Aviv metropolis.
NTA will join the buses, taxi and the train and together will Save entry times into the metropolis, and Reduction of air pollution levels of buses and cars.
But untill all this will happen, Tel Aviv will have to live with a lot of digging, changes in the bus lines, closing roads and Infrastructure works. The most significant change is at the Ma’ariv intersection, closed to private vehicles. Ma’ariv bridge has demolished and road traffic will be allowed in respect of public transport only. Also, traffic will be blocked in Yehuda Halevy Street and the streets Ranchal and Allenby.
“Dan” bus company will activate two new lines, 20 and 21, get off the center, pass through the railway stations Hashalom and continue to Rothschild Boulevard. Line 1 is reinforced.
